Welcome to GSDBC
The Greater San Diego Betta Chapter (GSDBC) is dedicated to the care and stewardship of betta fish, with the goal of promoting the hobby. Our monthly meetings offer educational programs, fish show competitions, and an opportunity to exchange ideas and information with fellow hobbyists.

GSDBC meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month.
Visitors are always welcome to attend the presentations and view the monthly betta bowl show. You must be a member to vote in elections, run for office, compete in the regular bowl shows, and to buy or sell at auctions.
Bowl Show
GSDBC’s monthly bowl show competition is an opportunity for members to share their enthusiam of the hobby by showing their fish. Critiques from fellow members can help the entrant improve breeder best practices. Ultimately, bowl show participants gain experience that can help them enter competitions at national and international levels, if they are so inclined.
We recommend that Betta breeders and hobbyists join the International Betta Congress (IBC)
